Ten Words = The Power of the Pen

attaches itself
onto a nit oddly shapely nightcap sandblast.

crisscrosses constrictive
old ashes, melting them in monotone sways.

If you buy
into the belief of hell
Say, yes!

All corporate slaughter markets
cold in their dead dark eyes.

Avant-Garde poets
smash conventional writing,
Surrealism awakens Salvador Dali.

Microscope colonies build dishrag creatures
out of spongy parameter drones.

Swine gives me the jitters
hope these palaver cows sleep.

washes the slangy
culture of today’s white-wash America.

The real Genius
of this planet
lies between knowledge serenity.

  1. yes.
awaken dali! awaken. i wonder if he will smell bad.
and swine has def given me the jitters
but then i usually fry it up. terrible, i know.
does knowledge allow us serenity? sometimes it makes it harder,
    better not to know?

  2. These are great. Only ten words and yet you’ve pulled in poetic devices like alliteration. My favorites are 9 and 10. As for hell, I think we are quite capable of creating it here in the present. Just look at what is going on in our poor world. In the afterlife…I guess we won’t know till we get there.

  3. Well, I guess I would have to say yes to the idea of Hell, but then again we won’t find out until much later, will we? And yes about pharmaceutical drugs….they make things easier, but not necessarily better!

  4. You are You, & not another thing; incredible surrealistic avant garde Flarfian ten Word stanzas that do not veer away from the poet you are, & are becoming; really cool 10 for 10. I like the lines
/stratification/crisscrosses constrictive/old ashes, melting them in monotone sways/.

  5. Such insight! haha your mind works in a special way 😉 “All corporate slaughter markets”… that’s a good one 😀 loved the last one too ❤
