  1. Okay, here goes, I sat with google to understand some of that, hope I don’t sound dense.
But at the end of it, it blew me!
You wrote one hell of an epic verse , Charlie.

    1. Thank you Yassy.

Not at all. What you tried and understand from this poem is something left to the reader to see something different and weird to his/or her imagination.
What’s interesting about being a writer is how much freedom one possesses.

      1. The fun is you leave the reader’s mind open for interpretation.

The writer has the freedom and that’s wonderful because both he and the reader can explore beyond the limitations. Hell, there are no boundaries.

    2. Charlie,

I was shocked that you mentioned “dildos teething”
      and not President Kennedy

with the dense poetic construction I was encouraged to wear a hard hat

digressive asides like it was Thanksgiving

      jumps and squats between thoughts

cryptic aphorisms that should be sold by girl scouts

casual readers may need more than a simple dictionary

I enjoy your signals of victory

      1. Shocked that I can wear a hat
        with teeth in it.
        Poetry was meant to be
        about thanksgivings dildos.
        Haven’t you heard?
        the jump digressive President;
        he declared casual needs
        for aphorism baked goods.
How else do you get a readers
        to be cryptic like Kennedy.
        See that’s the problem…
        Victory vs dictionary
who wins??? I’ll let you answer.

    1. Thank you my friend.

The best thing about poetry is that I always want to challenge the reader and to re-think about poetry itself. It gives the reader something different on how one sees the world around them and what lies inside our imagination.

      1. yeah, I love those kinds of poems. you see in them where you are and ten years later, you’ll see something completely different because you’re different. nice!

    1. hahahahaha!!!

It’s quite alright that you didn’t understand this poem.
Poetry has no rules…poetry can dress up in any costume or fashion.
No matter how weird or bizarre one looks…its how the painter paints it.

                1. Cool. Trust me…you’ll love Wonder Woman. This is DC’s first good movie. Wonder Woman is my favorite DC movie. Now, it’s Marvel’s turn with their lead female super-heroine movie: “Captain Marvel”. 🙂

  3. That “dildos teething” line gets me every time! What a wildly comic, absurdist romp! I feel like you try to take chaos and make sense of it with your words. Your imagery and choice of phrasing are imaginative and creative, yet are clear representations and symbols of other things. The Mephistopheles you allude to draws to mind the Faustian legend, about a man who sells his soul to the Devil. It’s as if evil is everywhere in this day and age and, if we’re not careful, we could just as easily fall into its clutches. Bravo, my friend. This is another terrific work! 🙂

  4. Utterly bizarre, deranged and balanced with the lightest streak of hysterics. In other words, someone put a pink pistol to my head and blew my grey matter inside out with halcyongenics. Also, in three words: I LOVE THIS!

    1. Katya, when you read my poetry. Your bound to find a lot of words you’ve never seen before, or I invent a lot of my own vocabulary.

Just keep reading more and you’ll see.

As a matter of fact. I just posted not that long ago a new poem. 🙂 I think you’ll like that one and you might find some little words here and there that will catch your interest. Hope you like the title. 🙂
