  1. The circus of psychiatry, this feels like some macabre theatrical performance, a mime of disorder, pushing us to our limits and knowledge of our sanity, and dousing us with fear and medications. To me it seems both theatrical and terrifying…

That was my mind’s journey, can’t wait to read your interpretation as well as others. Great work! PS hope the pingback to your post worked.

    1. You have nailed this interpretation of mine on point. 🙂

“The Theatrics taking place in a ballroom surrounded by faceless audience, the dancers
all wearing mask and moving along to the uneasy noise music that plays in reverse
and a voice starts to numb its audience but not the dancers themselves.
Why these dancers wear a mask? For their schizophrenia won’t drive them into madness
and a path that has no limits even for the imagination itself being driven by madness.
So the question is asked, Are these dancers really being dancing?
or is the schizophrenia making them do this? or is schizophrenia itself driven by
      an orchestra of violent symphonies?”

My interpretation of it…but you and I, are sync have read each other’s minds. 🙂

    1. That is what poetry and any other form of writing can invoke and make the senses think.

    1. Bless you my friend. 🙂

My interpretation is how I seen this in my vision and I experimented with the cut up. 🙂

                1. You know til this day…I have forgotten about Poe’s Red Death. I don’t think I’ve ever finished the whole poem of that. Crazy right? I think I should re-read it after I don’t know how many years. I keep hearing its good.

  2. You sent me on a dictionary word chase Charlie, Glad my digestion is fine and I eat lots of freshly grown food from our plot.. I avoid ‘Anti-‘ of any kind.. especially the Bionics 🙂
Thanks for making me go search and learn.. 🙂

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed this delicious food grown meals and the imagination takes you on a journey.

You are welcome. New words is why I love experimenting with it on my poetry.

      1. Good questions Charlie.. Now I have had some experience Supporting those with this condition.. I could give you several deeper answers too… but not on a public platform.. One must dig into the cocktail of drugs I have seen take affect to both calm. and also induce more chaotic behaviours.. And we are then brought into the arena of Energy bodies and vampire type attachments of the unseen kind, which if I went deeper into, people would think me deranged too 🙂 There are many masks… and one must look deeper still into all props of the theatrical world of illusion and the tools used in both big pharma and those electrical waves that music dances along.. Waves our ears do not always hear, but or brains react too.. ❤ 🙂

        1. Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth. ~ Oscar Wilde

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. ~ Jim Morrison

    1. hahahahahahahahah!!!! LOL!!!! No coffee for me.

Actually what inspired this was the dream I had…which I shared with Rachel.

And the other was this song among others.

Throbbing Gristle – Hamburger Lady ( this song will scare the hell out of you)

                1. No, quite the contrary.
I like green tea with jasmine. Adds a great touch to it. As for the rest, we have these trees/bushes all over so my parents pick them up by themselves. We rarely buy tea bags. I buy only those that we can’t find in their natural setting.

  3. I always need to think about your poems……..
Without thought, there is naught… but platitudes for praises.
This one is a sandwich, happily.
The cats make it work. The cats make it beat!

      1. Hehehe!
        Yellow is so vinyl.
Of course there will be white.. and .. red and what they want to do.
No yellow mixed in to those 2.
        “My vinyl eyes
        painted
        hot orgasm.
        The eerie rose
        spilled cryptic commas.”

  4. ………………………….Charlie,

    Thanks for the kindness !

I promised myself that I wouldn’t mention that this
poem is the screenplay for the movie, “Eyes Wide Shut”.

When we talked the other day, I could smell Pistachios
on your breath. Should I say, “SHAME” or ask you
to set some aside for me ?

Other poets have attainted the imagination’s
    conditional release from confinement
but you are the only one brave enough to
    parade it around the block.

    To hell with Habitual Reality,
    snap open another fortune cookie.

    1. ………………………………….Michael,

      Thank you for your kindness!

      Eyes-wide-shut was invented
      by the Greeks.
      Stop promising screenplays
      and start with road blocks
      and other hairline oils.

      I wouldn’t call imagination a shame/
      I’d say snap your breath
      into an amusement park
      and then mention CD players.

      Billy bob thornton
      predicted fortune cookies
      to be the main attraction
      of habitual pistachios
      and ray donovan.

          1. But country cousin Cthulhu,
            from the dust bowl depression,
was dreaming a black & white
            grape wrathed prohibition.
            No opera phantom allowed
to toot the strange fruit of a
            Presidential podium. Nostalgia
            for the Kraken of segregation
            looking away down & dogging
            the whistle of Dixie.
            “Thank goodness for the good
            witch and the white fairy.”
            ~ Judy

  5. Imagination is a delicious journey into so many realms that we dared not take when consciousness is over the mind.
You take us into places unknown unexplored it’s like giving the brain an injection of high energy wisdom and imagination!

    1. I love experimenting with words, & language creating a canvas of cinematic painting and bringing the reader into a world they’ve never seen before. Let the readers imagination open them up to something of surrealism and dream hallucinations.

    1. I couldn’t agree more.

The cut up technique has further my poems into the future. Burroughs knew how his work saw beyond it.

I’m bringing in something different and I have a list of words that i think no one has seen before. Some yes, and others not really. I love experimenting with words and language. 🙂

      1. I don’t know what you mean. I am new to Burroughs. I learnt about him last month from a friend, and started Junky yesterday. And it is wonderful.

        1. Please watch these 2 videos. One of Burroughs explaining the cut up technique. And the other, David Bowie explaining his cut up influence by Burroughs.

I promise…you will not be disappointed.
          This will inspire you.

          Cut-Ups William S. Burroughs

How David Bowie used ‘cut ups’ to create lyrics – BBC News

          Enjoy.

          1. I couldn’t exactly find the two videos. Could you perhaps attach a link? Though I saw a few other videos on the topic of what you might be saying, and it’s really inspiring. I am quite busy right now, but I promise to give you a much better inspiration later.

            1. I think the links I attached didn’t work.

Here’s what you can do – go to ‘YouTube’
and type in ‘cut up technique’ click the first video and then you’ll know everything about the writing style. 🙂

And for the David bowie one:

Type on YouTube: cut up technique david bowie, click the first video. Hope you enjoy the clips. 🙂
