    1. As a matter of fact, we do. Only this time…I had to cut up the poem itself and create unusual questions and create an imagery that invokes such questions.

Plus, the influence of the poem I had to listen to a variety of music including this one:

Kelli Ali – Sadistic (Official Music Video)

    1. I’ve never heard this song before by Cohen.

The guitar hooks are unbelievably good and the lyrical message is genius and powerfully strong. Also, the music had a Bali India type of influence with the guitar sound a mix of everything all in one beautiful melody.

Thank you Dale for this incredible song by Cohen. I’m glad you sensed a connection to my poem and the music itself. 🙂

        1. Both links worked and opened fine.

I’m loving the version of Buck 65 with Jenn Grant. Man, this version elevated the feel of Cohens work and they give it their intepretation musicially with a great respect to Cohen. 🙂 I love this song…so far I’ve been hitting repeat over and over again.

Thank you again Dale. 🙂 Bless your wonderful kind heart very much.

    1. No. I was experimenting with the cut up and by accident I happen to reference Aphex Twin and did not know about his interview with suicide or mental health. I wrote this poem when I was in frustration and depression. But, I wanted to experiment with something that opens the readers mind to a whole new level of imagery.

      1. Wow! That is a coincidence. Out of interest, do you use the cut-up poetry technique? The imagery provoked by such alien words is mind blowing. I read this out loud to my husband & he was speechless. lol.

        1. Throughout my poetry works. Yes, I use the ‘Cut up Technique’ a whole lot. It gives my vision and work a great challenge that I love taking every poetry to the next level.

wow! your husband was speechless?? I’m thankful and honored you and your husband enjoyed this cut up poem of mine. 🙂

          1. I’ve never tried that Dadaism approach. I don’t know why (lol) but I will definitely give it a go. I some times use poetry generators & then change the poem to make it my own. Visual prompts are useful. Rage & Anger drove many of my earlier stream of Consciousness posts. Yes, he was speechless by the choice of words used. I still need a dictionary to look up a lot of the words that you use. Though, tbh I always try to make sense of your poetry by my instincts before I start googling. My latest poem was prompted by a free verse poem generator & I posted the generated poem & the result after tweaking it. Great work (as per usual).

            1. It’s fun and very challenging.

Poetry generators are interesting and challenging exercises within the poetic experimentation. Visual prompts are amazing as well.

Hope you get to experiment one day with the ‘Cut up technique’ if you do, I will read it. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Yassy.

When I cut up the poem is brings a delicious taste of questions that many readers will enjoy of its mystery and take in what is.

      SEVDALIZA – MARILYN MONROE

Enjoy the video and music. I know you will. She’s brilliant and something else.

    1. Thank you, Graymand.

      If you noticed the verse:

“Who stream compliments horse oasis language loud yawn whistle oath omen depiction of ill under sin other?

“horse oasis language loud yawn whistle oath omen depiction of ill under sin”

Is decoded as ‘Hollywood illusion’. Horse is H, Oasis is O, Language is L, Loud is L, Yawn is Y, Whistle is W, Oath is O, Omen is O, Depiction is D, ill is I, Under is U, and Sin is Sion.

      Arca – Knot

    1. I will be stopping by in a bit to read your poem. 🙂

Also, did you see what I did within the verse?

      here:

“Who stream compliments horse oasis language loud yawn whistle oath omen depiction of ill under sin other?
“horse oasis language loud yawn whistle oath omen depiction of ill under sin”
Is decoded as ‘Hollywood illusion’. Horse is H, Oasis is O, Language is L, Loud is L, Yawn is Y, Whistle is W, Oath is O, Omen is O, Depiction is D, ill is I, Under is U, and Sin is Sion.

  1. You are deep Charlie and your writing brilliant. This conspiracy of evil doings that I feel between the lines send me on a journey of search. One thing I know, your choice of music is so superb and your knowledge of music is beyond fabulous. I enjoyed Charlie, this is a real thinker, then your poetry always is fascinating! 😊

    1. Thank you Holly for understanding and reading between the lines of what is happening right now and how distractions are keeping humans in line for that matter.

And speaking of speak here’s something for you: the influence that led to this writing. One of many.

Jasmine Infiniti – Flight at O’Hare

      1. A friend sent me sth the other day, a joke… but is it really. It said:

For the first time in the history of English languge, the affirmative and interrogative sentences are completely the same.

Who is guilty of the pandemic?
WHO is guilty of the pandemic.

  2. Who? I know who! The artists are who can speak truth to power.
Point of example, Phlegm, the artist. Nothing shallow or pretty here. However, interesting as all get out! He’s brilliant.
    Also, you, Charlie, are who!
