  1. This is fantastic! The way the sounds complement your poetry. Excellent collaboration. Please give us more!

Sorry I didn’t return to Goo, I didn’t find the time.

    1. You welcome my friend. 🙂

Thank you for letting me be a part of your musical brilliance. I know we talked about doing more like this in the future. Let’s keep that in mind. And If we do something like this…let’s experiment with noise/industrial. 🙂

  2. This is awesome Charlie! Once again I’m thinking dada and definitely feel a reference to our current pan. Regardless, I love it! I love the recital too, you have a very fine reading voice. Great collaboration, congratulations to you both! 😊

    1. Thank you, Holly.

A combination of DADA with electronic/ambient sounds that blend in with spoken word. 🙂

Jason did a phenomenal job and his brilliance shine in the music. Him and I, have talked about doing more like this in the future. 🙂

    1. Thank you. Jason did a great job with music and capturing the electronic/ambient beat with spoken word. 🙂

I’ve never had insomnia…and if I did…I’d go crazy because I would love to get a good sleep. hahahaha!!!! 🙂

        1. oh…I think there was a misunderstanding. I meant I couldn’t sleep at one point because of my nightmares. But, no Insomnia.

When I get good sleep then my mind is at ease and I think more experimental and super weird trip. Naturally. 🙂

  3. A brilliant blend of creativity at its very best. You both definitely have another go at this. More of this please, Charlie and sooon …

  4. Charlie. The music embraces and invites us into your words which feel they are describing somewhere between a dream and a nightmare. A restlessness abridged by lavender but exacerbated by the realities of our current situation. Do you include “pangolin semen” as a reference to the beginnings of covid – ‘ejaculated’ over the world? Beginnings or endings, perhaps the paradox of both?

Charlie, this was an incredible collaboration. Music always seems an essential element to your writing – a fundamental dimension of it. The pairing of music and words in this post…. amazing. Plus, is that your voice??? I really enjoyed listening to this. Loved it, actually.

    1. Thank you, Rachel.

Believe it or not, the reference to ‘Pangolin semen’ was an accident. In fact, I had to throw the original short poem in the cut up machine and this came out of nowhere and I loved the final result. But, now that you mention the connection to our current situation it does make a whole lot of sense. Why I chose the pangolin semen as for the beginning and endings that do define our current paradox.

Yes, the version 1 is my voice and version 2 obvious is distorted as a robot. 🙂

My friend and i, have been thinking of doing more like this. 🙂

  5. Brilliantly done by both. Words and music complete and compliment eachother perfectly!
On a note, this could have been a great gift to Dali whose birthday was on the 11th (May)!

  6. The music is gorgeous!! Absolutely soars and stuns.

And your words crackle and sizzle in lavender ornaments. Brilliant!

P.S I think “The Lavender Clue” would be a great detective novel name.

  7. OMG!!!! This collab was utterly, dark-lightly and sensuously divine. Wow what beautiful sound quality too. Perfect voice and music for the amazing poem.

  9. l Loved your this new way of reciting your poetry Charlie… Very Electric!… And memorising..
Hope all is well with you.. Sending thoughts and Hugs your way Charlie.. 🙂 🙏

    1. Thank you my friend. Sorry, I’ve been feeling low and my anxiety and small panic attacks have been getting the best of me. I’ve been crying or trying to cry everything I have been feeling inside. With the whole world in chaos and the death of George Floyd…it broke my heart to see and like all of us…we want justice for Mr. Floyd. And also, I miss my family due to the lockdown and the restrictions the CDC has placed in us.

How have you been my friend?

  10. It is heartbreaking and you’ve expressed our anger and despair Charlie. Hatred is learned and it is the root that twists the flowers. I see a new generation rejecting the old ideals. I think there is hope for change. We can make it happen.
